Our IT Service Management department is excited to announce an opening for a Hardware Asset Analyst. The Hardware Asset Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of hardware asset data throughout its lifecycle. This role ensures hardware is accurately tracked from procurement through deployment, support, and eventual disposal, while maintaining compliance with security and audit requirements.

This operationally focused role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional visits to local offices in the Kansas City MO area, Southwest Missouri area, or Louisville KY area.

The targeted salary for these positions ranges from $64,297 to $96,445, with compensation based on geographic location and determined by the hiring manager. Join us and be part of a team that makes a significant impact!

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Maintain accurate asset records in jhNow (ServiceNow) and ensure lifecycle data integrity.
  • Coordinate hardware procurement, deployment, reclamation, refresh, and disposal activities.
  • Ensure all hardware assets meet security and compliance standards prior to deployment.
  • Support internal and external audits through reliable asset tracking and reporting.
  • Partner with IT and Security teams to enforce hardware compliance policies and address vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct periodic audits and analyze asset trends, failure rates, and vendor performance.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for lifecycle planning, procurement, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Hardware Asset Management Lead to define KPIs and measure operational performance.
  • Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Hardware Asset Management Lead to support team objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT asset management.
  • Experience with ServiceNow with a strong focus on HAM Pro.
  • Experience with discovery tools (SCCM, JAMF, Intune.)
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, particularly Excel, for data recording and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time for meetings, training sessions, and conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, IT, computer science.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CHAMP, CSAM, or CITANP.
  • Knowledge of hardware security best practices, chargebacks, and hardware maintenance is preferred.
