Description
The Maintenance Planner will aid the QC Manager to keep airplane scheduling smooth and keep the Tracking Program closer to real time. Essential Functions and Duties: The Maintenance Planner is responsible to the QC Manager for looking ahead at scheduled maintenance requirements for each Company aircraft and plotting a smooth timeline for accomplishing the required tasks. Works with in-house shops for Overhaul Repair data and schedules. Works with the Technical Records Clerk to obtain proper data for tracked maintenance items and fills in for the Technical Records Clerk when they are absent. Works with Operations to weave maintenance in with flight schedules. Presents scheduling recommendation to Maintenance Manager to publish a schedule of Maintenance Actions. Work with the Inventory Control Specialist or Purchasing Agent to assure required parts and supplies are available when needed for the aircraft. Works with DOM or QC Manager to aid in scheduling Vendors or Contractors when work outsourcing is required. Expected to work in other areas when Maintenance Planning duties are met. Other duties as assigned. Competencies: Ability to read Maintenance Tracking Data to determine when tracked tasks are due. Ability to determine average flight hours and cycles per hour on each aircraft type for each season of the year. Ability to organize and sequence tasks at their appropriate time for efficient aircraft operations. Must be able to communicate with different departments and levels effectively. Ability to use the computer to create calendars and spreadsheets for planning. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to take directions and be flexible. REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred. Maintenance Planning or Scheduling experience preferred. Experience in dealing with Maintenance Tracking Programs preferred.
