About the Job:

Aviation Maintenance Technician to provide regular flight support for corporate jet aircraft including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain department's corporate jet aircraft to manufacturer and FAA standards.
  • Service and repair the airframe, engines, and accessories to ensure the ultimate in airworthiness.
  • Lead, monitor and assist in training Junior Maintenance Technicians.
  • Maintain familiarity with parts ordering, inventory control and warranty procedures.
  • Continue to work towards becoming a FlightSafety Master Technician or the equivalent.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of technical regulatory developments pertinent to the operation and submit recommendations to the Director of. Aviation
  • Assist the Director of Maintenance as directed in the evaluation, selection and improvement of operating procedures and techniques for the aircraft types to which they are assigned.
  • Perform the items required on the approved inspection program "due" list.
  • Brief and debrief flight crews on the maintenance status of the aircraft.
  • Assist, as directed by the Director of Aviation, in monitoring the airworthiness of aircraft by reviewing their compliance with FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturers' bulletins, STC's and letters.
  • Perform preflight and post-flight inspections in accordance with the KeyCorp and aircraft specific Checklists.
  • Coordinate and obtain approval from the Director of Aviation before removing or returning aircraft to service.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on shop and ground support equipment.
  • Accomplish general line service duties, including towing and fueling of aircraft.
  • Assist passengers with baggage or other requests.
  • Accomplish fuel farm duties, including fuel ordering, record keeping, and fuel farm quality control.
  • Assist in maintaining the serviceability and cleanliness of the facility and company equipment.
  • Perform aircraft database updates as required.
  • Perform interior/exterior cleaning of the aircraft.
  • Supervise vendors when working in the facility.
  • Create logbook entries for airframe, engines and APU maintenance as required by the Federal Air Regulations.
  • Assume additional responsibility as directed by the Director of Aviation.

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA issued A&P certificate
  • 3 to 5 years (minimum) working as an A&P.
  • Previous experience working on turbine powered aircraft.
  • Must own / provide personal tools to complete various maintenance tasks
  • Must be willing to work various shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel for the purpose of training or if the needarises, to support the aircraft while away from home base.
  • Assist with hangar cleaning duties to provide a clean and welcoming environment for our clients and passengers

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or higher, preferred
  • Understanding of avionics systems beneficial
  • Aircraft specific training helpful but will be provided by company

Competencies/Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities
  • Familiar using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Fluent with the use of electronic manuals
  • Candidate must apply a passion to achieve excellence in their job function.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes short-term incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
