Elma Electronic Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing repairs and maintenance to maintain production at target efficiencies. This role involves advanced troubleshooting and repairs on production and plant equipment, performing preventive maintenance tasks, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The position requires managing, maintaining and working on various types of machinery, and facilities related tasks. Candidates must be highly alert, self-motivated, and capable of managing facility and production needs under pressure. This role also involves coordinating and managing vendors to repair any facility and machinery related items that cannot be done internally. Candidate will provide project/supplier management oversight for multiple vendors performing site renovations and repairs as needed. Candidate must have great communication skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks and activities for site efficiency.

Responsibilities:


  • Manages, maintains and uses CMMS software to track trends
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates with vendors for machinery or facility related issues
  • Manages outside vendors and contracts regarding machinery and the facility
  • Oversees site renovation activities and ensures projects complete on time and at expected budget
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and maintains the designated preventative maintenance schedule
  • Troubleshoots complex maintenance systems (e.g., PLC's, VFD's, motors hydraulics, pneumatics)
  • Repairs various facilities related items (Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry)
  • Propose, design & implement a predictive maintenance protocol for machinery
  • Assists with EHS activities (waste disposal, hazard mitigation, workspace improvement, OSHA compliance)
  • Assists with Capital Project presentations, management and coordination
  • Work closely with manufacturing to optimize processes and uptime with new safety and efficiency measures
  • Manages the alarm / security system
  • Manages the janitorial services and maintains cleanliness in the facility
  • Manages the recycling and waste for the facility
  • Responsible for maintaining the grounds of the facility
  • Meet compliance with lock out - tag out (LOTO) program
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Leads Lean projects, as required by the business (such as 5S, productive maintenance, visual controls, machine set-up projects).

Qualifications:


  • Ability to project manage / oversee suppliers and vendors performing renovations, maintenance and repairs
  • Understands industrial machinery and/or automation repair
  • Able to use and manage CMMS software
  • Ability to read schematics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced circuits, I/O systems, servo motors, relay modules and motor control systems
  • Knowledge of how to manage and perform preventive maintenance
  • Ability to recognize potential hazards and other safety concerns
  • Able to plan and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the cleaning and maintenance requirements of the company which may be during non-work hours
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing to perform major repairs and maintenance to facilities
  • Ability to recognize potential hazards and other safety issues to proactively maintain the safety of the facility/equipment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills



Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma - Trade School preferred
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience


Target Compensation: $48/hr - $55/hr plus bonus.
