The Optum NM Market Growth Manager will drive strategic growth efforts, by focusing on identifying and nurturing broker, payer, and provider relationships to enhance market presence. The ability to plan, communicate, and execute on growth strategy to leadership and broader teams is paramount to the success of this role. Having a thorough understanding of the Medicare and Commercial Health Insurance Sales process is required. The blend of analytics, creativity, and business acumen will enable the growth manager to optimize the creation of new relationships, engagement, and retention

This role reports to the Director of Growth for the Mountain West and is part of the Optum West Region Growth and Marketing team and will work very closely with the Market Director of Marketing and Marketing Specialists

Primary Responsibilities:



  • The Optum AZ Market Growth Manager will drive strategic growth efforts by focusing on identifying and nurturing broker, payer, and provider relationships to enhance market presence. The ability to plan, communicate, and execute on growth strategy to leadership and broader teams is paramount to the success of this role. Having a thorough understanding of the Medicare and Commercial Health Insurance Sales process is required. The blend of analytics, creativity, and business acumen will enable the growth manager to optimize the creation of strategic plans, fostering of new relationships, engagement, and retention

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Broker Relations
  • 3+ years of experience in Medicare Sales or Medicare Plan Operations
  • 3+ years of experience in Presenting Value Proposition and Strategies to Senior Leadership
  • 3+ years of experience in Creating Business Plans and Presentations
  • 3+ years of experience in Creating and Managing Budgets
  • 3+ years of experience in Working with Value Based Health Plans and Contracts
  • Permanent home residence within 20 miles of the Albuquerque, NM
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20%
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation



Preferred Qualifications:



  • CRM/Salesforce experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrated communication from C-Suite down
  • Proven strategic thinking and planning
  • Proven adaptability and flexibility
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Proven collaboration and teamwork



Total Compensation. As part of your total compensation package, which includes base, bonus opportunity, PTO and holiday pay, you will also receive these benefits at these rates, not to mention a remote work opportunity and healthy work/life balance.

Benefits pricing

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
