Harley-Davidson Motor Company is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, where the first H-D factory was built in 1903 - a wooden shed in the backyard of the Davidson's family home. This role is based in Milwaukee and will support a portfolio of 6 locations. While this role will primarily be onsite, we offer some flexibility to accommodate work life balance. Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to oversee a team of Project Managers, providing tactical project oversight across a multi-site portfolio of Facilities Asset Lifecycle, Workplace Environment, and other Construction Project implementation. This role will drive and ensure the planning, delivery, and close-out of all Facilities projects meet a standard set of expectations. This role is based in Milwaukee, WI and supports a portfolio of 6 locations, including administrative, R&D, and manufacturing type facilities. This role will help implement H-D and industry standard methodologies and project/program management best practices and oversees a team of internal and contract resources to deliver projects in alignment with budget, schedule, and scope requirements. This position is accountable for prioritization of initiatives, in alignment with Facilities Management, Business Operations, and H-D Strategic requirements. This role will report to the Facilities Project Management leader, within the Global H-D Corporate Facilities Team.

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Subject matter expert in fundamental and H-D specific construction project management practices, policies and procedures
  • Effective oversight, support, and guidance of 3rd party project managers, general contractors, and construction management providers
  • Ownership and collaboration on project intake processes, project risk-ranking and prioritization, and multi-year capital planning
  • Multi-facility oversight of project delivery from inception through execution and close-out
  • Provide consistent support and guidance to project management team on all relevant policies - including site logistics, access, safety, security, and other points of critical coordination
  • Serve as communications point for stakeholder and cross-functional resource engagement, site impact notices, and other change management requirements for project implementation
  • Directly support risk and issue tracking, along with avoidance and mitigation planning and implementation
  • Co-ownership of asset database - build, supplement, and maintain a comprehensive and standardized Facilities asset lifecycle and condition database
  • Co-management of a multi-million-dollar annual Capital Budget including preparation of Business Cases
  • Become proficient with H-D contracting and procurement processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal cross-functional business partners - including but not limited to Environmental, Health & Safety, Corporate Security, Test and Manufacturing Operations, and Digital Office/IT
  • Ongoing collaboration with Facilities Operations team to ensure prioritization alignment and minimized disruptions with project works

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications

  • Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Facilities or Architectural Engineering, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, Program Management or other related field of study is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of Facilities or General Construction Project Management and/or Facilities Management or Property Portfolio Management experience required
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation and building management preferred
  • Experience with critical system and/or industrial manufacturing environments desired
  • Experience in the development and implementation of programs to optimize impact and drive out cost inefficiencies preferred



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS



  • Project Management Professional (PMP), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) industry certifications recommended; other Engineering, Business or technical training or certifications preferred
  • Proficient in understanding management agreements and construction contract language
  • Excellent computer and systems knowledge: Strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Strong discipline of financial management including financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting
  • Fundamental or better understanding of Civil Construction and Infrastructure, Architecture, Building Envelope Systems, Building Controls Systems, and Primary Facilities Infrastructure Systems: HVAC, Electrical Distribution, Plumbing, Fire Suppression, Fire Alarm, Compressed Air, Elevators, and other
