The Chief Product Officer of Enterprise Imaging has ownership of a portfolio of products & solutions and is accountable for the strategic direction of portfolio and ongoing management for profitability. The Chief Product Officer is directly responsible for product strategy, execution of product management and for developing the go-to-market strategies. The person in this role will demonstrate an understanding of synergies across the portfolio and how to meet market needs and continue to drive growth by understanding and evaluating enterprise imaging user needs and market needs to improve our competitive position and drive customer value. The leader considers internal and external dynamics when developing recommendations and strategies; critically evaluates information and recommends what should or shouldn't proceed; demonstrates systems thinking; and can readily identify downstream impacts of decisions and proactively construe alternatives. As a key member of the Enterprise Imaging executive leadership team, you will participate in a variety of leadership operating mechanisms to lead the business. You will provide leadership, management, coaching and/or mentoring to others and serve as an industry thought leader and practicing subject matter expert. In addition, you will be accountable for the performance of and results through a matrixed team.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Inspire employees across the organization

  • Help shape the overall organization strategy and contribute beyond the scope of this role to build a winning strategy
  • Build and monitor the execution of the strategy, which includes transition from existing solutions to next generation products
  • Own ensuring that PDLC process is followed for all product management initiatives and new product introductions (NPIs)
  • Lead capital requirement assessment; anticipate product needs per long term product plans; accountable for product performance as indicated in capital plan
  • Develop processes that allow for changes and incorporate new learnings; provide high-level requirements that clearly state the intent/goal and help team to understand the guardrails; approve finalized requirement documents
  • Define build/buy/partner strategies for the product portfolio elements
  • Direct, drive, and own continual provision of market insights, competitive analysis and new market/product opportunity analyses
  • Analyze competitor business strategy (e.g., how their strategy is evolving, potential acquisitions and/or partnerships, products in the pipeline) and understand potential impact
  • Ensure all operational elements of a product are understood and designed to meet product specifications
  • Document product operations from product vision to executional expectations in a manner that facilitates rapid implementation and product launches
  • Validate the high-level vision with the marketplace
  • Help drive Go-to-Market plan: value propositions, key messages, sales alignment, pricing, segmentation and campaign to achieve desired adoption and sales targets of the solutions
  • Lead the Imaging advisory community and frequently connect with customers to represent their point of view in internal discussions
  • Serve as a bridge to lead to the alignment of product development processes and integration plans
  • Coordinate with R&D to ensure product roadmap interlock occurs and R&D delivers according to product roadmap timelines
  • Accountable for product performance and quality standards that directly impact financial performance
  • Evaluate financial analyses; predict impact of internal and external events on financial performance; assess risk and decide courses of action; determine how best to leverage portfolio; connect financial targets to long-term strategy in portfolio planning
  • Take ownership of coordination with and alignment/interlock with Marketing and Sales organizations to ensure optimal Go-To-Market and realization of BU-wide bookings, revenue and profitability targets

Required Qualifications:




  • 15+ years of broad and deep product management experience
  • 7+ years managing and leading Product Management teams
  • Demonstrated success leading product introductions from design to execution and launch
  • Experience delivering cloud-based products to market
  • Background in Healthcare Tech (HIT)
  • Track record of leading through other leaders and obtaining results through matrixed teams
  • Experience working a part of a global business
  • Solid planning, decision making and judgment

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, health informatics, healthcare or marketing or related field (or equivalent experiences)



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Advanced business or technical education (MBA, MSC)
  • Enterprise Imaging, Radiology and/or Cardiology industry knowledge/specialization
  • Medical Device domain expertise
  • Experience driving a migration from on-prem to cloud-based solutions
  • Data Platform experience
  • Experience incorporating Voice of Customer (VOC) in the PDLC
  • Design Thinking experience/certification
  • General Manager mindset

The salary range for this role is $191,800 to $364,800 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
