The Court Operations Administrator manages varying operations of considerable difficulty within a division of the Clerk of the Superior Court to provide access to the judicial system and related public records to the public, the legal community, courts, county, and other governmental agencies so they may pursue legal processes or obtain and maintain legal and financial records and information.

We Require

  • Six years of professional court program administration experience
  • Three years of directly related supervisory or management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, criminal justice, or a closely related field
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Provide administrative direction, planning, and oversight for a variety of operational functions at multiple facilities
  • Serve as a member of the Clerk's senior administrative team providing consultation to the Clerk and his/her executive staff
  • Spearhead the Clerk's Office committee meetings with other administrators, the judiciary, federal, state, and county representatives, as well as with the public, participating in problem-solving and decision-making within the scope of authority
  • Supervise managers and indirectly supervise supervisors and a variety of Clerk of the Superior Court staff
  • Work with managers and supervisors by developing, implementing, and monitoring work plans, programs, systems, processes, and procedures to achieve the Clerk's goals, objectives, and work standards
  • Ensure workflow, cross-training, and staffing are in line with the business needs of assigned areas to support the continuity of service provisions to the public and efficient operations
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively orally and in writing; exercises tact, objectivity, discretion, courtesy, and sound judgment in handling highly complex/sensitive issues and situations with a variety of people from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
  • Responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of rules, statutes, policies, and procedures for the Clerk's Office
  • Use positive influence to collaborate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people
  • Analyze high-level organizational systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness and direct the implementation of improvements
  • Assess, recommend, and implement Clerk of the Superior Court initiatives that contribute to the goals and objectives outlined in the mission, vision, and value statement of the Clerk's Office
  • Analyze a variety of complex and diverse issues to achieve resolution, providing assistance and guidance to managers, supervisors, and staff

Working Conditions

  • Ability to sit for long periods while completing computer activities
  • Requires travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles or private vehicles on County business
