POSITION TITLE:
QA Technician

LOCATION: Charlotte, North Carolina

REPORTS TO: QA Manager

Come Join our Planmeca USA Team!

You are the ideal candidate who will be responsible for tests, calibrates, and verifies new units to ensure functionality prior to shipping. Your responsibilities include testing and repairing equipment Core Equipment from Manufacturer and Distributor as well as any Core Equipment that has been returned from Trade Shows, Charity Events, and Customer Returns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Ensures the unit is cosmetically perfect
  • Confirms equipment is functioning to Planmeca standards
  • Ensures that the system is complete (accessories, additional components, etc.)
  • Provides feedback to the Senior QA Technician and Warehouse Manager on all discovered issues or defects
  • Maintains record of all testing reports and calibration data
  • Customizes imaging equipment to customer order
  • Requests all necessary components to convert the incoming unit per order
  • Performs all testing tasks and calibration
  • Completes all paperwork on spare parts requested and provides results to the Senior QA Technician/Warehouse Manager
  • Repairs equipment from customer returns
  • Requests all necessary spare parts
  • Completes all paperwork on parts in and out, provides results to the Senior QA Technician/Warehouse Manager
  • Completes the all-final checking procedures per the QA Department standards
  • Maintains a clean work area
  • Collaborates with other departments: Customer Service, RMA, Shipping, and Parts
  • Maintains current knowledge of all Planmeca products and all other matters that affect the dental industry
  • Monitors workflow when the manager/supervisor is not available
  • Ensures all processes and protocols are being followed
  • Meets company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
  • Adheres to Company policies, procedures and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments
  • Repairs, troubleshoots, and updates computers to Planmeca standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Warehouse experience
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Proficient with Computers including Microsoft Office
  • Basic networking skills (preferred)



Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to meet targets, goals, timelines, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Forklift certified (preferred) If not certified, must become certified within 3-months of hire



WORKING CONDITION:

The work environment of the position is in a professional office environment and warehouse environment at principal place of business.
