Responsibilities

Major Responsiblities:

  • Maintain schedules and prepare account reconciliations for various accounts including, but not limited to, prepaid, fixed assets, accrued indirect costs, debt and interest, goodwill and intangibles
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Assist with weekly bank account reconciliation and daily cash application as needed
  • Manage and maintain fixed asset module within Deltek Costpoint including, weekly additions and disposals, monthly depreciation and amortization entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Update and develop process documentation for assigned tasks, including recommendations for process improvements
  • Comply with and enforce all legal Company policies, procedures and instructions
  • Work cross departmentally to resolve issues as they arise, as needed
  • Support the accounting team on special projects, as needed

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 2+ years of Costpoint experience
  • Government contracting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification, or CPA eligible

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Organized, reliable, and personable
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and produce timely, high-quality work
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and operational accounting
  • Exceptional work ethic and commitment to organizational success
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel)
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to produce timely, high-quality work
