Job Description

The Visa Direct (VD) team at Visa works on designing, managing, and optimizing products and solutions for moving money using Visa's networks e.g. Visa Direct, Currency Cloud and B2B Connect. These products and services are typically aimed at commercial entities, including corporations, small and medium businesses, governments, and other organizations, but also support P2P transfers and C2B spend on multi-currency accounts. VD spans across different dimensions of money movement including cross-border transactions, disbursements, money transfers, and more.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Strategy & Operations, this internship offers a strategic role helping to shape and implement the strategic vision for Money Movement solutions across Europe, aligning with global and local strategies and teams. In particular, the team will work on a joint Global & European GTM project, linking to Visa Direct's overall strategy and commercial value proposition.

The candidate will typically be expected to work independently within the team, typically leading complex work streams and analysis. They should display strong strategic acumen, top-notch analytical skills, and exceptional stakeholder management skills and understand the payment industry to put the 'Power of Money Movement in the Hands of our teams'. The role is particularly suited to candidates with a Strategy Consulting / Banking background, ideally with experience in transaction banking / FX trading.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large work streams on strategic projects: Lead the development and execution of high impact work streams for Visa Money Movement Solutions, leveraging both quantitative / qualitative analysis to inform strategic decisions and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving & Analysis: Crack the toughest problems in a fast-growing and complex space - incl. commercial strategies, advanced pricing strategies, strategic projects.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate and partner closely with a broad range of teams - from Product, Solutioning, Business Development to Cluster teams in other locations, ensuring strategies including pricing are well-integrated and executed across all regions.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Build, maintain and grow relationships with key executive stakeholders, driving Visa's industry-wide thought leadership, and informing strategic decision-making.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Students pursuing a Master's Degree with a graduation date in December 2025 or later
  • 4 years of relevant work experience. Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience (3-5 years) in Strategy Consulting / Banking with experience across financial services - specifically transaction banking, FX trading, payments, or fintech sectors.
  • Demonstrable success in working in a high-pressure environment, delivering complex projects to a high standard and deriving strategic insights, while managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Transaction Banking / Foreign Exchange / Payments desirable, including regulatory requirements, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven ability to influence and build consensus and strong relationships at the executive level, both internally and externally.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other European languages is highly desirable.
Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $46.00/hr which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
