This position will be based inNew York, NY(must live in Metro NY - NYC 5 boroughs, Westchester County, Long Island) and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving sales and inspiring teams? GALLO is seeking an innovative Director of Retail Distributor Management to plan, implement, and execute our annual sales retail plan. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate closely with our distributor partners to ensure the successful execution of our sales strategies. You will take ownership of pricing plans, revenue targets, and the overall profitability of our brands, while ensuring legal compliance and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset within the team.

As a key player at GALLO, you will manage the planning process, develop and oversee budgets, and engage in both winery and distributor-facing activities. Your role will be essential in maintaining open communication channels and ensuring our sales programs meet their goals. Your ability to innovate and drive change will be critical as you design new programs, educate regional employees, and ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

Your strong leadership skills will be crucial in supporting the career development and training of your direct reports, participating in recruitment strategies, and maintaining a succession plan. You will work cross-functionally to improve organizational processes, leveraging technology to monitor performance and make data-driven decisions. Your financial acumen will ensure the profitability of our brands, and your ability to engage accounts and distributor personnel will maximize e-Retail opportunities.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of Winery/distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR bachelor's degree plus 10 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of winery/distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 60% during the course of business
  • Supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master's degree plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience.
  • Experience staffing and developing an organization.
  • Leadership/management strength to provide motivational guidance and direction.

Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $178,200- $267,400/ year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
