Job Overview

As a Project Coordinator at US Distribution, you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing field service projects for our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, providing accurate quotations, monitoring field jobs, estimating projects, coordinating work schedules, troubleshooting mechanical/technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Your work will involve interfacing with various departments within the organization, attending customer-based meetings, assisting in project management, and contributing to the improvement of machine upgrades. You will be a key link between customers, Milwaukee Engineering, and the internal account managers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure a safe working environment and enforce safety rules
  2. Provide accurate quotations for field service projects
  3. Monitor and audit field jobs to ensure quality service
  4. Estimate projects, plan manpower needs, and research technical aspects
  5. Coordinate and schedule work based on planned outages and emergencies
  6. Solve mechanical/technical problems and implement upgrades
  7. Interface with cross-functional teams
  8. Troubleshoot mechanical systems and identify improvement opportunities
  9. Attend customer-based meetings
  10. Assist in project management
  11. Create documentation for inspections
  12. Travel to attend training on new products
Qualifications/Requirements

To excel in the role of Project Coordinator, you should possess the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience with a mechanical background
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, CAD-CAM, SAP, and MS Project
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and use tools such as calipers and micrometers
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of equipment repairs, fabrication, welding, and mechanical techniques
  • Effective leadership qualities
  • Basic understanding of print reading and GD&T
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends when required
