Position Overview

The Finance Analyst is a key member of the US Revenue Finance team, which is responsible for managing the US Conde Nast reporting, analysis, forecasting, and P&L management to help deliver the company's financial targets. The team is based in the US and we work closely with all functions, all markets, Corp FP&A, as well as Bangalore Centers of Excellence. Our work is absolutely critical to the business as we help to support and drive revenue growth, and provide the finance leadership team with the insightand information needed to manage company performance.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Support the Associate Director to provide ongoing business partnering support to functional leads (including advertising, commerce, subs, etc), developing a deep understanding of the key drivers and business challenges, and forging close working relationships with the leads and teams that support them.

  • Review and analyze journal submissions prepared by the Center of Excellence for the US Market monthly close.

  • Develop, maintain, and own Financial Models to forecast future risks and opportunities.

  • Serve as data architecture lead by utilising power query and other data automation tools to join our multiple data sources into one cohesive database to be used for analysis.

  • Assist in automating reporting by using google apps scripts and SQL to streamline otherwise manual tasks and processes.

  • Develop a relationship, and work in partnership with the business partnering team to ensure all reporting needs are met.

  • Support Associate Director to answer time-sensitive questions from the Finance Leadership team, as well as any other time sensitive ad-hoc requests.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • At least +2 years post qualified or QBE (qualified by experience)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing and able to challenge key stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, comfortable with handling a lot of complex data sets and delivering quality outputs with minimal review required.

  • Commercial mindset, goes deeper to understand the numbers and can 'tell the story' about business performance effectively

  • Great team player, able to pitch in where required, flexible and adaptable

  • Works well under pressure, prioritises effectively and takes ownership of deliverables

  • Proficient user of G-suite, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, SQL, and Google Apps Scripts

  • Comfortable with change, can use judgement and a problem solver

  • Range: $70,000-$85,000
