Job Summary: The Campus Event Services Manager oversees the daily operation of the Wisconsin Union Campus Event Services Office. The person in this role will directly supervise the Wisconsin Union event coordinator team, and will be responsible for logistics, event approvals, line staff support, and large event support. Responsibilities: Directs daily operations of events, including monitoring the budget and/or supervising event planning staff to ensure that operations run efficiently, economically, and in line with department goals and policy. 25% Establishes and executes day-to-day operational functions and goals of events to align with existing strategy 20% May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees 20% Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures 10% Monitors the budget and approves expenditures 10% Establishes and sustains relationships with internal and external stakeholders 15% Acts as power user for Wisconsin Union instance of EMS software system, including configuration and user management Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Standard schedule will be Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed to support events. The Wisconsin Union is a financially self-supporting division of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Financial support for the organization is provided by income earned by over thirty food service units and a variety of nonfood units such as games, guest rooms, space rentals and campus vending. Substantial support is also provided by student fees. The total annual organizational budget is approximately $60 million dollars. Student Affairs is led by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
