The cost optimization manager is responsible for working with all stakeholders in the TPC reduction workstream to facilitate the generation, approval, and implementation of TPC reduction actions for all vehicle programs assembled at Windsor Assembly Plant (WAP). Cost optimization managers will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance, production planning, Brand teams, logistics, purchasing, VO team, and Stellantis plants, both for coordination and to break down barriers related to the decisioning and implementation of TPC action items. The selected candidate will collaborate with Stellantis plants to lead and organize War Room meetings and will provide guidance to set up the War Room location spaces. The selected candidate will also identify TPC action items for escalation to monthly governance meetings for funding approval. This role within the North America Commercial Performance and Cost organization is in a fast paced, intense environment and requires strong communication, ownership, and consistent follow up with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities


  • Champion overall TPC reduction for Windsor Assembly Plant (WAP)
  • Direct interaction with STLA stakeholders to drive the generation, approval, and implementation of TPC reduction actions
  • Organize and lead competitive benchmarking workshops to identify TPC reduction opportunities
  • Promote key TPC reduction ideas for decisioning and approval
  • Collaborate with Stellantis plants to lead and organize plant War Room meetings
  • Active participation in Monozukuri and TPC Booster events, including planning process

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related degree field
  • 5+ years of automotive industry experience working in manufacturing or engineering


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master of Science degree in engineering
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility
