DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform skilled maintenance and repair activities at a journey level across a range of trades, including building, mechanical, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work. Your duties will necessitate proficiency in several trades, with the specific working conditions and degree of leadership responsibilities differing according to the location and assignment. The nature of your work will vary, allowing you to showcase your expertise and contribute to the overall maintenance and functionality of the facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time, seasonal employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately January 2025 until September 2025 at which time the employee is placed on leave without pay.
  • Work hours are:

    • Weeks #1 - #3, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

    • Week #4, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Thursday, Off, Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Weekends, holidays. and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
  • This position may require overtime.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • This position will require possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
