DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a PA CareerLink Program Supervisor, the primary focus is to maintain, enhance, and apply knowledge of workforce development programs, services, policies, regulations, legislation, and procedures. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating various staff responsibilities to ensure knowledgeable and prompt service, program compliance, and customer satisfaction. Within this role, you will strive to ensure optimal service delivery of programs funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), including Wagner-Peyser, Trade, and veterans' services.

You will have the opportunity to represent the Bureau of Workforce Partnership and Operations (BWPO) at local, regional, and state trainings and conferences, in addition to collaborating with the management team, staff, and field leaders to promote awareness and use of PA CareerLink services, programs, and activities. Other responsibilities include training PA CareerLink staff and completing summaries, analyses, and recommendations based on research, review, and evaluation of programs, services, and service delivery.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia County.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of public contact work which involved interviewing the public to obtain, provide and evaluate information concerning employment or employability; or
  • One year of public contact work which involved interviewing the public to obtain, provide and evaluate information concerning employment or employability, and bachelors' degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year of public contact work which involved interviewing the public to obtain, provide and evaluate information concerning employment or employability.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
