Job Summary: The Emergency Medical Services Coordinator PT oversees the day-to-day administrative services and provision of emergency call response for the Emergency Medical Services Program on a part-time basis. Additional Department Summary: Oversees the day-to-day administrative services and provision of emergency call response for the Emergency Medical Services Program at the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS). Coordinates scheduling and EMS staffing for contracted on-campus and community events. Provides guidance, training, and supervision to EMS staff. Serves as a liaison to event organizers to plan and prepare for EMS coverage, including risk assessments and resource allocation. Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and (6) years of experience in emergency medical services programs; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of experience in emergency medical services programs; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in emergency medical services programs. Licensure as a Paramedic in the state of Alabama in good standing. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and CPR/AED First Aid certification, or ability to obtain upon hire. Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of the University of Alabama campus and surrounding area. Functional understanding of basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. Functional understanding of communications equipment, including telephone, 2-way radios, and recording equipment.
