Your Role

The Production Planning Coordinator is responsible for machine shop operations, including scheduling jobs and coordinating production work orders in equipment assembly. You will assist the Master Production Planner with daily scheduling. You will report to the Master Production Planner and the Equipment Operations Production Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Schedule machine shop jobs in accordance with capacity and material availability
  • Create, close, and manage work and sales orders for equipment assembly and machine shop
  • Analyzing part availability for on time delivery
  • Review engineering changes to work orders and update accordingly
  • Track WIP and sales orders status during assembly to ensure customer deadlines are being met
  • Collaborate with purchasing team to identify and close material availability issues
  • Participate in daily team meetings to review schedules, WIP, jobs, and issues
  • All other duties as assigned


To succeed, you will need

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP experience related to inventory/work orders/sales orders/processing, preferred.
  • Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical work experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to accurately analyze schedules and data
  • Able to operate effectively on a team or independently.

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

  • Extended time reviewing computer screens and ability to navigate the plant floor for status reviews.
