GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops architecture and design of a cloud-based web application at an enterprise scale and leads a technical team that deploys the software.

Maintains and supports RESTful APIs, web services, microservices, and other modern architectural patterns.

Supports the complete Agile software development life cycle, from concept, design, and development, through testing, debugging, and deployment, ensuring superior quality and timeline adherence.

Drives the optimization of applications for speed, scalability, security, and maintainability, upholding stringent code health and testing standards.

Aligns IT strategies and solutions with business objectives.

Enhances business processes by leveraging technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Plans and breaks down desired outcomes into manageable tasks, identifies dependencies, distributes work among team members, and anticipates technical and implementation issues, risks, and challenges. Proactively assesses risks and develops mitigation strategies and action plans as appropriate.

Identifies complex challenges and devices innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Makes informed decisions about procurement and integration.

Manages data as a strategic asset by applying expertise in data modeling, data governance, and information security.

Communicates complex subjects clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences.

Applies strong documentation, collaboration, and presentation skills to IT and business leadership, securing buy-in on design approach by evaluating architecture and cost tradeoffs.

Prepares presentations, technical documents, and related artifacts to effectively convey concepts and ideas to a wider audience, and obtain approvals from the Technology Review Committee, Technology AC, and Capital Investment Review Committee.

Performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Seven (7) years of firsthand experience in maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile and web application development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Demonstrated a compelling portfolio of complex projects, demonstrating advanced technical proficiency and creative problem-solving skills, managing multi-faceted projects, and driving technological innovation at a strategic level.

Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD and integration with Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS); Amazon Web Services (AWS) EKS maintenance, administration, upgrade; AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) administration and upgrade; AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security services; AWS config; AWS Advanced Networking; AWS CloudFormation, Terraform; Python scripting; Shell scripting.

Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and supporting technologies.

Familiarity with modern application development practices.

Proficient in maintaining automated build systems such as Jenkins and managing Source control management such as Gitlab.

In-depth understanding of various technology domains, including application, data, infrastructure, and security architectures.

Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, DevOps microservices, and IoT, and their impact on enterprise architecture.

Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps practices, including continued delivery, infrastructure as code, auto-scaling, and automated testing using tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.

Knowledgeable in major web technologies like .NET, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), Node.js, Java, React.js, and MySQL, and experience with service side CSS pre-processing platforms.

Proficient in utilizing monitoring tools, such as New Relic, AWS CloudWatch, and others.

Solid understanding of performance testing and optimization with the expertise to leverage related tools and practices effectively.

Skill in managing multiple projects concurrently.

Ability to perform complex analyses of data and information and make recommendations.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills; ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Cloud certifications related to Software Design and Development.

Current hands-on Cloud-based Web application development experience.

Expertise on transformation of airport IT applications and systems along with abilities to confirm with High availability disaster recovery (HA/DR) and failover capacities needs.

EDUCATION

A bachelor's degree in computer science, or Information Technology or a related field of study.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

A state driver's license in good standing.

NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quality, quantity, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors.

Must be able to work and support technology development efforts from any Airports Authority facilities and customer space.

A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.
