The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for supporting the organization's recruiting efforts by establishing and maintaining a pool of potential candidates and using various methods to source, recruit, screen, and interview candidates to fill organizational roles. Works closely with Talent, HR and hiring managers to determine hiring goals and needs.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • Identifies and targets active or passive candidates that could meet the organization's current and future talent needs.
  • Develops a candidate pipeline and maintains relationships through online or in-person networking.
  • Encourages candidate interest in the position to be filled by promoting the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Consults with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and profiles of ideal candidates.
  • Reviews applicants' education, experience, training, and other qualifications for candidate screening.
  • Schedules interviews as needed.
  • Informs candidates of job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensations and benefits, and career advancement opportunities relevant to the job being considered for.
  • Gathers feedback from both hiring manages and candidates to identify opportunities for improvements and enable to make informed decisions.
  • Keeps candidates informed of the recruiting process from start to finish.
  • Collaborates with decision makers on candidates' salary requirements, subsequent salary negotiations and offers.
  • Extends job offers as needed.
  • Assists hiring managers with the Ameris Bank hiring processes and procedures.
  • Provides ideas and strategies for improved recruiting goals and initiatives.
  • Maintains working knowledge of bank's strategies, goals, and employee benefits, perks and rewards.
  • Provides ad hoc trainings as needed.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and analyze data and reports as needed.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:



  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform work without supervision.
  • Ability to be consultative and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively interact with teammates at all levels, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Intermediate PC proficiency.



Industry and Work Experience:



  • 2 + years of staffing/recruiting experience required.
  • Corporate recruiting experienced preferred.
  • Banking or financial services experience preferred.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Presentation experience preferred.



Academic:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
