POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Position Overview

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for an Industrial Engineer to join our team and contribute to the mission of the Space Force. As a member of our engineering team at Buckley Space Force Base. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with on-site and base maintenance personnel to optimize the power, cooling, and physical placement of new hardware installations within mission-critical locations. This role requires expertise in facilities engineering, systems integration, and operational process analysis to support the mission. This role is located at Peterson SFB, Co.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Facility Management:



  • Lead contractor personnel in identifying necessary facility and infrastructure modifications to support the SBIRS/OPIR mission.
  • Supervise and actively participate in the installation of infrastructure modifications, ensuring they meet mission requirements.
  • Review reports from Task Leads to identify potential risks and initiate mitigation processes to prevent escalation.
  • Perform additional duties as required by SBIRS/OPIR mission administration.


Quality Planning:



  • Review, correct, and provide feedback on mechanical and electrical systems projects conducted by the Buckley AFB 460 Civil Engineering Squadron affecting the SBIRS/OPIR Mission Control Station building 442.
  • Provide critical information from incoming mission programs to assist CES in forecasting power requirements for the RA and the entire base.
  • Lead technical analysis for engineering support requirements related to existing and planned infrastructure/communications upgrades, enhancements, or modifications in support of the AF 1067 process.


Hardware Installation:



  • Install various electrical devices, including receptacles, cables, and circuit breakers, to power communications racks and other mission-related devices.


Support:



  • Facilitate facility modification-related meetings, evaluate upgrades/modifications, review AF 1067 modification requests, and determine schedules for facility and mission system upgrades at the covered SBIRS/OPIR facilities.
  • Support miscellaneous SBIRS/OPIR mission requirements, such as photography of personnel, meetings, awards, promotions, and load calculations for power requirements of different functional areas.
  • Provide Configuration Management support through the "alternate drawing process" and collaborate on rack and quarterly power audits/power load calculations (Buckley and Schriever SFB). Utilize CM software for real-time cable routing and length assessments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience in Configuration Management and Quality Assurance
  • Proven experience in infrastructure and facility modification management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide contractor personnel.
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, particularly in mission-critical environments.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI


Preferred Qualifications or Skills



  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and AF 1067 processes is preferred.


Pay range: $142,480 to $148,720 per year
