POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Position Overview

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Software Engineer to join our team and support the groundbreaking mission of the Space Force. We are seeking a Software Engineer and Operatorto support the development, maintenance, and use of bespoke facility equipment tracking software. This employee will manage the software development and improvement. Additionally, this employee would use the software to verify and update current configuration changes with the facility management program located atPeterson Air Force Base, CO.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Facility Information Management:



  • Capture and update facility information within the facility management program to ensure data accuracy and completeness.


Software Development:



  • Continue the development of our facility management software using Visual Basic programming language, enhancing its functionality and user experience.


Facility Baseline Establishment:



  • Establish and maintain a facility baseline by identifying and updating facility drawings to reflect new or upgraded hardware installations.


Project Auditing:



  • Assist in auditing ongoing and future projects, as well as installations, at our Denver and Colorado Springs locations on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance and progress.


Collaboration with Teams:



  • Work closely with team members and maintenance personnel to determine power, cooling, and physical placement requirements for new hardware installations within the facilities.


Configuration Management/Quality Assurance Support:



  • Collaborate with the CM/QA engineer to monitor and audit all ongoing projects and installations, ensuring that configuration management and quality assurance standards are met.


Equipment Management:



  • Remove obsolete equipment from the facility management program as equipment is upgraded or replaced, maintaining an up-to-date inventory.


3-D Modeling:



  • Build and edit models using Solid Edge 3-D modeling software to support facility planning and upgrades.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable with application development, preferably using Visual Basic for Applications and the .NET framework
  • Must have experience with 3D modelling software
  • Must have an active and transferrable DoD top secret security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance


Preferred Qualifications or Skills



  • Experience with database management
  • Experience with Air Force technical orders, technical drawings and configuration management is a plus.


Pay range: $137,800 to $144,040 per year
