Start Date 04/12/2025 Contract Sheppard Trainer Maintenance Salary Range $39.33/Hour Posting Date 04/02/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Possible FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible Job Summary: M1's Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic conducts an aggressive AGE preventive maintenance program by performing periodic and special inspections on all assigned powered and non-powered AGE equipment in accordance with applicable technical orders (T.O.'s), work cards, checklists and owners' manuals. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, remove and replace components on most of the assigned powered and non-powered AGE equipment including but not limited to, gas turbine engines/compressors, air compressors, hydraulic test stands, diesel and gas turbine driven generator sets, floodlights, air conditioners, maintenance stands, aircraft jacks, engine and munitions trailers. * Performs complicated troubleshooting and repairs on electronic controls, components, and wiring on assigned AGE equipment. * Washes, cleans and maintains interior and exterior of all assigned AGE equipment in accordance with applicable technical orders and contract requirements. * Records all inspection/maintenance action using Air Force Forms, IMDS, and other means as required. * Assists and trains assigned AGE Helpers when required. * Perform stand-by as required. * Complies with all company, OSHA, AFOSH and customer safety requirements. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable. * Requires five (5) years' experience in AGE maintenance field. * Must demonstrate the ability to accurately troubleshoot and repair most AGE systems and subsystems. * Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret detailed technical orders, work card, checklists, wiring diagrams and schematics and publications. * Must obtain necessary licenses and certifications required to perform assigned duties. * Must have the ability to deal courteously, professionally and effectively with the customer. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance. * Current valid U.S. Driver's License.
