Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a GLP Technical Support Specialist tosupport the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply! The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $75,000 - $84,000. The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn. Responsibilities:
- Employee will maintain up to 10 cell lines and assist with hybridoma production.
- Employee will perform assays to ensure cell line viability and metabolic activity for each customer order filled.
- Employee will produce, maintain, and archive department records IAW institutional guidance.
- Employee will assist in maintaining approximately 40 Cell Culture specific SOPs. Included, but not limited to, periodic review, revision, writing, and peer review.
- Employee will maintain LN2 Freezer Inventory for Cell Lines and Hybridomas (approximately 75,000 plus vials).
- Employee will maintain inventoried supplies/reagents so that research is not delayed.
- Employee will have legible handwriting IAW 21 CFR Part 58.
- Employee will perform and document cleaning of benchtops, Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs), floors, shelves, and other surfaces on a determined schedule as needed.
- Will cross-train within the Virology Division to provide assay and technical support as needed.
- Employee will adhere to cell seeding/splitting and related technical recommendations of the Cell Culture Section Management and applicable SOPs to ensure acceptable and consistent product quality.
- Employee will serve as the GLP coordinator for the Cell Culture and Hybridoma Service Center. This includes performance of GLP laboratory record review and authoring deviations as necessary, scanning and archival of laboratory records, preparing responses to FPIs, CAPAs, and GLP and Well-documented study audits, compiling and provision of GLP study documentation requests to PIs/Study Directors. Typical workload is 40 FPIs, CAPAs, and audits per year and 60 GLP paperwork requests per year.
- Employee will serve as the Cell Culture and Hybridoma Service Center representative to the USAMRIID GLP Management Working Group.
- Will cross-train within the Virology Division to provide assay support as needed.
