JOB PURPOSE

The Sr. Cable Assembler is responsible for assembling components, reading instructions, labeling wires, inspecting final products, adhering to safety practices, operating testing equipment, and keeping the working area clean

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

The Sr. Cable Assembler applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher level technician.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education/Credentials Required:


  • High School Diploma


Experience Required:


  • 2-4 years of experience in the field working with various MIL-STD and commercial cabling standards


Special Knowledge/Skills Required:


  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the required security clearance/eligibility for continued employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Job located at a U.S. Government Facility
