The College of Nursing at the University of Cincinnati is seeking to fill a non-tenured, non-tenure earning faculty position to contribute to the College's mission of teaching, service, and scholarship. We are currently seeking candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor-Clinical or Educator rank who are prepared to lead and/or teach in undergraduateand pre-licensure levels for undergraduate/pre-licensure curriculum courses. This is a 12 month appointment. Job Overview
Faculty members in the Clinical Track or Educator Track are doctorally prepared in a nursing specialty and hold non-tenure/non-tenure earning faculty positions that are responsible for patient care, patient support, and/or teaching and program development and evaluation in the clinical sciences. May also contribute to clinical scholarship and service missions of the university, administrative service, and other educational activities, expectations for which may be described in letters of appointment and in their unit reappointment and promotion criteria. Essential Functions
* Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars. * Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching. * Evaluate related work for students and may serve as an academic adviser. * May serve on college or university committees. * Participate in curriculum development activities. * Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. * Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-relatedcommunications. * Other related duties as assigned. Required Education
Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree in Nursing (PhD or DNP) from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing. Required Trainings/Certifications
Active unencumbered Ohio RN license or the ability to obtain RN license to practice in Ohio. Required Experience
* At least 5 years clinical experience. * At least 2 years experience teaching nursing at a university/college setting. Additional Qualifications Considered
* Previous knowledge of, and working ability to practice across academic, and clinical environments. * Ability to provide formative and summative evaluations of students during didactic and experiential learning. * Demonstrate continued engagement in scholarship of teaching and discovery. * Innovative and open to the use of technology in the classroom.
