Job Description

Responsible for leading all aspects of the warehouse design for new plant business in the US; provide engineering input to support the overall direction, development, and integration of warehouse control systems, warehouse automation (AS/RS), and automated guided vehicles; focus on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to proactively drive changes resulting in increased industry competitiveness; lead the development and implementation of process solutions of new plant logistics, warehouse layouts, and flow and packaging, ensuring individual OEM and third-party customers standards are met, while adhering to company strategies; support the effective utilization of technology and continuous improvement strategies to grow business opportunities; utilize and apply knowledge of automation systems, factory automation systems, material handling systems, warehouse control software implementations/integrations, transportation network designs, inventory control processes, statistical analysis, forecasting methodologies, business case recommendations, capacity solutions, Six Sigma methodologies, MTM methods, BI tools, Jaspersoft, Aginity Workbench, large data-set analysis, SQL, AutoCAD, 3PL warehousing, and WMS environment to complete assigned tasks; collaborate with business leadership to provide a clear vision of business opportunities, outlining specifically how the department can support the business plan; serve as a subject matter expert for integration, Warehouse Control Systems, Material Handling Equipment, AS/SR, and Automated-Guided Vehicle Integration to business systems, including SAP and SAP-EWM; collaborate with Global Envision leadership teams to develop proposals, gain consensus on all proposed warehouse solution activities, and maximize feasibility of daily operations; collaborate with cross-functional teams from each plant, including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Facilities Engineering, and Finance to ensure optimal solutions for warehouse operations; discuss logistics schedules and plans, monthly goals, and overall project milestones with management, ensuring they can be met within the strategic scope; collaborate with teams in China and Japan to streamline design, enhancing performance and efficiency of daily operations; work with Global SCM planning function teams to track the progress toward trail dates and SOP at each plant conduct statistical analysis parts forecasting methodologies and associated system software to streamline daily operations; provide assistance to and mentor junior engineers; and prepare statistical analysis and business case recommendations for logistical solutions.

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee, and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;

Salary: $119,025 per year

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors - Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Training: None;

Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Warehouse Design Engineer, as an Industrial Engineer, as a Manager of Operations Development, as a DC Design Engineer, as a or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Experience must include all the following:

* Three (3) years use of: automation systems, material handling systems, warehouse control software implementations/integrations, transportation network designs, inventory control processes, statistical analysis, forecasting methodologies, business case recommendations, capacity solutions, Six Sigma methodologies, MTM methods, Jaspersoft, Aginity Workbench, and large data-set analysis.

* Five (5) years use of: SQL, AutoCAD, and WMS environment.
