Job Description Hydrovac Operator / Combination Cleaning Vac Truck CDL B * Operate Combination Sewer Cleaning Vac Truck equipment to hydro-excavate utility lines, clean underground pipes for camera inspection, and perform industrial cleaning * Operate hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate soil and debris * Perform tasks such as trenching, potholing, daylighting, and slot trenching * Use hydrovac equipment to expose utilities and pipelines for inspection and repair * Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on the job site * Complete daily pre-trip inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs * Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow * Maintain a clean and organized work area QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience operating hydrovac equipment is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement Must have or be able to obtain a DOT card Pass a pre-employment background screen and drug screen Ability to operate various heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools; reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally; bending at the waist; standing and or walking for extended periods of time; hearing and speaking to exchange information; carrying 3-5 lb. electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 50 pounds or lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
