Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Chelmsford, MA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integrating and testing in-house developed COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, or systems.
  • Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability; develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems or subsystems.
  • Coordinates subsystem or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
  • Performs test results analysis and prepares comprehensive subsystem or system-level evaluation reports, which verify and validate system performance.
  • Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Office products to generate status reports, project plans, and work instructions.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience writing, editing, and supporting existing software code bases using LabVIEW and Test Stand software.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in analyzing and resolving problems.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in managing and prioritizing your workload, which may consist of several tasks at once.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in in effectively working on teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Minimum 9 years of professional-level career experience.
  • Experience preparing charts and giving presentations outlining technical issues, solutions, or trade studies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal detailed direction to deliver desired results.
  • Proven success in implementing appropriate methods to measure electrical parameters typically required for components and subassemblies.
  • Subject matter expert in Radio Frequency or Microwave systems and subsystems.
  • Success in developing multiple complex test programs with NI LabVIEW and Test Stand development environments.
  • Proven track record of researching and specifying components for test equipment design.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and isolate problems down to the test instrument, fixturing, software level, or unit under test.
  • Proficiency in generating assembly and block diagram sketches, parts lists, and other types of engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency in Corrective/Preventative action process and implementation.
  • Solid background in deriving test requirements from design or system-level requirements.
  • Ability to identify and author required documentation to correct drawing to actual hardware discrepancies.
  • Proven collaborator with multidiscipline teams.
  • Effective relationship builder across multiple organizations and disciplines.
