NYU School of Medicine, a world-renowned institution committed to advancing medical education, patient care, and research, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate leader to serve as the inaugural Emergency Medicine (EM) Residency Program Director at NYC Health + Hospitals / Woodhull, an esteemed affiliate of NYU School of Medicine. NYU School of Medicine at Woodhull Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director. This leadership position is ideal for a candidate with significant experience in Emergency Medicine, a passion for medical education, and the ability to create a positive and innovative learning environment. The Program Director will play a focal role in shaping the next generation of Emergency Medicine physicians and ensuring the highest standards of education and patient care. Responsibilities will include: * Oversee the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) application process for a 2027 program start. * Develop and implement the program curriculum. * Establish policies for the program and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. * Provide clinical teaching and supervision to residents. * Deliver direct patient care and engage in core program clinical teaching. * Lead general administration tasks related to the residency program. * Participate in Graduate Medical Education (GME) committees and meetings. * Organize educational conferences for residents. * Assist with GME recruiting and interviewing. * Oversee GME research and scholarly activities. * Conduct resident evaluations and mentoring. * Lead program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: * Board-certified in Emergency Medicine. * Previous experience in medical education and familiarity with ACGME requirements and accreditation processes (three years as an APD, or one year as a PD) * Strong background in medical education, with familiarity with ACGME accreditation processes. * Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. * Proven ability to mentor, inspire, and support residents and faculty.
