Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery
Reston, Virginia Pay From: $25 per hour MUST: Experienced Dental Assistant 1 plus years of current experience as a Dental Assistant Must have experience in an oral surgery Must have experience working with patients under IV sedation Must be X-Ray certified in VA Must have experience with working with EMR Strong verbal and written communication skills DUTIES: Dental Assistant Oral Surgery Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Provides assistance to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon and other providers within the division for a variety of treatment procedures. Assists in the outpatient clinic and operating room settings Obtains patient's medical history and takes vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse Helps patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment Provides patient education regarding treatments and post op care Develops and processes dental radiographs (x-rays), under supervision of licensed provider Obtains digital intra-oral impressions and when necessary alginates impressions under supervision of licensed provider Prepares and sterilizes instruments and equipment Can be assigned duties specific to other dental specialties Performs office management tasks and clerical duties as required (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering telephone calls, billing, and ordering supplies) Performs other duties as assigned. *Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
