Shift and Status

Full time, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Variable days and on-call weekends.

Essentially hybrid, will work out in the field visiting patients' homes.

Job Summary

As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans, unit routines, and hospital policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Essential Functions
  • Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.

  • Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.

  • Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.

  • Maintains patients' environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.

  • Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.

  • Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course upon hire

  • Driver's License within the State of Michigan upon hire

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross Corewell Health Continuing Care (except Hospice), including Regional Rehab and Nursing Centers, Lakeland Continuing Care, Caring Circle Hospice 90 Days
