Job Title: Fingerprint Services Specialist

Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Panama City, FL

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated individual to perform fingerprinting services for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. This role involves collecting fingerprints electronically for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Electronic Fingerprinting: Utilize live scan technology to capture fingerprints in a format that meets the Secured Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) and OPM standards.
• Equipment Management: Manage and maintain all hardware, software, and facilities necessary for electronic fingerprinting, including ensuring equipment functionality and security.
• Service Provision: Provide fingerprinting services nationwide, including in U.S. territories, with the capacity to handle up to 190 personnel annually, averaging 16 scans per month.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure all fingerprinting activities adhere to federal guidelines regarding data protection, privacy, and security. Handle sensitive personal information with strict confidentiality.
• Quality Control: Maintain a quality system consistent with ISO 9001:2015 standards to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the fingerprinting process.

  • Coordinate with NSWC PCD Security Office contacts to perform tasks.
  • Report fingerprint service status monthly as part of the contract status report.
  
  
  
  
• Customer Service:
  
  
  
  • Assist and guide individuals through the fingerprinting process, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Address any questions or issues related to fingerprinting procedures or requirements.
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in fingerprinting or related field advantageous.
• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Previous experience with live scan fingerprinting technology preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a customer service environment.
  
  
  
  
• Skills:
  
  
  
  • Proficiency in operating fingerprint scanning equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in fingerprint capture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interact professionally with all individuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  
  
  
  
• Clearances: Must undergo and pass a Tier 3 Background Investigation for access at the Controlled Unclassified (CUI) level.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with federal regulations concerning personal identification and data security.
• Experience with or knowledge of quality management systems.
