Job Title: Facilities Coordination and Planning Support Specialist Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Panama City, FL Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Facilities Coordination and Planning Support Specialist to provide essential support in coordinating and planning facilities-related activities across NSWC PCD. This position involves managing site visits, participating in meetings, and ensuring effective communication and technical support for facilities management. Responsibilities:
- Conduct Site Visits:
- Perform site visits to assess existing facility conditions and deficiencies.
- Follow up on repairs and corrections within and surrounding facilities.
- Submit reports on site visit findings within a predetermined timeframe.
- Participate in Meetings:
- Attend regular meetings with the NSWC PCD Facilities team to discuss ongoing issues and projects.
- Participate in additional meetings as required to cover all facilities management aspects.
- Communication:
- Ensure all communications regarding facilities management reach the designated NSWC PCD personnel.
- Provide informal notifications via email, phone, or other means as necessary.
- Technical Support of Requirements:
- Support the NSWC PCD Facilities team in developing solutions for facility-related deficiencies.
- Interface with end users to understand and document requirements or deficiencies.
- Review work for accuracy and completion, providing feedback within one week of receipt.
- Participate in Inspections:
- Join the Facilities team for zone inspections, noting observations and distributing compiled notes to relevant parties.
- Conduct facility inspections to verify seating assignments, asset information, and equipment condition.
- Assist in fleet vehicle program inspections to maintain an accurate inventory, updating records as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facilities management or a related field is advantageous.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities coordination or planning roles, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Experience with government or military facilities management protocols is beneficial.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Navy or DoD administrative protocols and documentation standards.
- Knowledge of records management principles as per SECNAV M-5210.1 CH-1.
