Job Title: Facilities Project Manager

Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Panama City, FL

Job Summary: We are seeking experienced individuals for the role of Facilities Project Manager at NSWC PCD. This position involves overseeing and managing all aspects of facilities support projects to ensure they align with DoD and Navy standards, policies, and procedures. The role requires strategic planning, coordination, and execution of facilities-related tasks for approximately 85 buildings and 50 smaller structures.

Responsibilities:



  • Project Management:

    • Determine, recommend, and implement methods to meet facilities support priorities set by NSWC PCD, adhering to DoD and Navy guidelines.
    • Analyze, schedule, and track all facilities support work requests, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.


  • Workflow Management:

    • Coordinate with NSWC PCD Facilities Division to set feasible completion times for projects, adjusting schedules based on priorities and constraints.
    • Manage job orders by analyzing them to determine priority and manage completion expeditiously.


  • Communication and Coordination:

    • Maintain a task log and provide status updates to NSWC PCD Facilities Government personnel as required.
    • Work closely with all levels of technical, scientific, and management personnel to exchange information and resolve issues.


  • Facilities Administration:

    • Ensure that facilities projects comply with environmental standards, safety regulations, and security requirements.
    • Handle the logistics of space allocations, renovations, and maintenance schedules.


  • Quality and Compliance:

    • Monitor and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during project execution.
    • Participate in meetings related to facilities management to discuss project statuses and future planning.




Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years in facilities management or project management, preferably within a governmental or military context.
    • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously in a complex environment.


  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for project tracking and reporting.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and familiarity with systems like ARCHIBUS is advantageous.




Preferred Skills:



  • Familiarity with DoD and Navy regulations concerning facilities management.
  • Experience with government procurement processes and project budgeting.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Risk Management principles as applied to facilities projects.
