Position Title: CAC Issuer Specialist Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), Panama City, FL Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Common Access Card (CAC) Support for the Verification and Registration Center (VRC) at NSWC PCD. This position requires providing identification card administration services to ensure accurate and secure identity verification for military personnel, retirees, dependents, and contractors. Responsibilities:
- ID Card Services: Provide identification card services to all personnel associated with host and tenant commands, including active-duty military, retirees, dependents, and verified contractors. This includes determining eligibility, issuing, and retrieving CACs.
- Eligibility Verification: Serve as a Verifying Official on the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting Systems (DEERS)/Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification Systems (RAPIDS) terminal, ensuring data accuracy and correctness.
- Customer Support: Handle telephone inquiries, assist customers with eligibility questions, application requirements, and DEERS-related inquiries.
- Security and Compliance: Adhere to DoD regulations, including AFI 36-3026, ensuring strict control over the issuance and management of identification and privilege cards. Return failed or retrieved CACs to the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) in a timely manner.
- Data Management: Update customer personnel data in DEERS per relevant directives, reset PINs, verify and update Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates, and manage related documents.
- Security Compliance: Notify appropriate security personnel of any unauthorized or unsafe acts. Ensure RAPIDS equipment remains secure and in its designated location.
- Training and Certification: Obtain and maintain all required DoD online training and certifications for operating DEERS/RAPIDS systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in administrative or security-related fields is advantageous.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service environment.
- Background in Human Resources (HR) with experience in Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims or Navy Transportation is preferred. Similar experience from private sectors or other Federal agencies can be considered.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Dod and Navy identification card administration protocols.
- Experience with DEERS/RAPIDS or similar systems.
- Familiarity with security protocols and physical security measures at military installations.
