Duties, Responsibilities & Other Job Summary: The Project Specific Technician V role (PSTV) is the fifth in the career track for technicians who are primarily performing a specific technical task related to a defined scope of work supporting a utility system. This position is for a technician that is familiar with the specific work with twelve years previous experience required. This position will require the PSTV to perform basic field measurement, data collection, recording and observations related to existing or proposed utility infrastructure. This position could require the PSTV to observe and document the installation of existing facilities or conduct investigations to determine if new installations are feasible. Additionally, this position could require the technician to evaluate circumstances in the field and make real-time decisions on compliance to an outlined specification or standard. The use of electronic equipment including computers, tablets, mobile phones or similar devices may be required. This position primarily involves working in a field environment with locations varying often on a daily basis. There is an expectation of significant field work, which may include exposure to inclement weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, high humidity, rain, snow and icy conditions. Field exposure to insects, animals and vegetation may pose a threat. Key Required Skills:
