$21.84 to $24.02 hourly.Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled professional work in organizing and supervising specialized recreation activities at parks or other recreation areas. The work includes utilizing the recreation software program and other software to update and maintain activities, equipment, and facilities. Supervision is given to subordinate recreational paid and volunteer staff.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Recreation or a closely related field;PLUSone (1) year of progressively responsible experience in recreation, physical education, or a related area. Experience working with Publisher, Adobe Pro, social media sites, and/or web pages is preferred. Experience working withrecreation rental/program registration software or RecTracis preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, full-time permanent employees will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
