Under the general direction of the Chairman of Radiology and the Director of Radiology and Ambulatory Services, performs various administrative support and secretarial duties for Radiology and Ambulatory Departments. May communicate with patients ranging in age from school age to late adulthood.

Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make AMH the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees.
  • Develops and maintains system of correspondence and documentation, including policy/procedure, performance improvement, and other data integral to the operating function of the department to support departments.
  • Prepares financial, budgetary and statistical documents to assist administrative personnel in operating efficiently.
  • Performs secretarial duties to provide for efficient department operation.
  • Acts as a resource for Department of Radiology/other related areas to ensure efficient flow of communication.
  • Demonstrates high standards of conduct in the work environment, in a professional manner, to provide high quality service.
  • Demonstrates initiative with department activities to ensure quality services are provided.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience as administrative secretary.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
