Job Details Medical Records Clerk IIJob Description Perform analysis of hospital inpatient, outpatient surgery and Emergency Room records for deficiencies. Assisting physicians and other clinical staff with completing their patient records timely in accordance with hospital rules and regulations. The HIM Analyst performs quality audits and clinical pertinence reviews to support Corporate Compliance, Patient Safety, Regulatory agencies (TJC, DOH, et al.) The HIM Analyst reviews the transcription hold queue to reconcile barriers to the report filing via the interface. The HIM Analyst is responsible for monitoring and processing Epic work queues and reports. The position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION: Not applicable. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: At least two years clerical experience. Experience working in a hospital or Health Information Management Department preferred.
