The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations in the market and reports directly to the Market Operations Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
  • Coordinates and schedules work activities of office staff and laborers, communicating instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
  • Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Obtains required permits and licenses; executes construction contracts according to terms of agreement.
  • Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.
  • Maintains records related to costs and inventory.
  • Ensures safety practices are followed at all work sites. Educates employees on safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent management skills
  • Knowledge of operations and construction management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Education and Experience:

Education: Four-year degree or equivalent work experience in a similar environment

Experience Preferred:

  • Required background in the home building and/or renovation industry.
  • 5 or more years of experience managing branch of field operations- support an office side and not service delivery.
  • General financing and budgeting, invoicing and billing, payroll/hourly reporting, compliance, supply chain logistics / establishing daily route based service schedules, strong communication skills, client customer support, effective management of office staff. Must be able to manage and support various office technologies in the support of other employees.
  • Strong knowledge of the basic workings of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, drywall, painting, appliance, landscaping and irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate basic workings of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, drywall, painting, appliance, landscaping and irrigation system.
  • Valid driver's license is required - No DUI's.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail & high-performance standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and to multi-task.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
