Nursing Knowledge Program Application - Open to BSN and ASN Students

Please read carefully In order to be eligible to be considered for this program you must be actively enrolled or accepted into a nursing school program and be pursuing a nursing degree for the first time. (Current, Registered Nurses are not eligible for this program).

Nursing Knowledge Program Application - Open to BSN and ASN Students

The Baptist Health Louisville Knowledge program has helped numerous individuals reach their career goals of becoming a professional in healthcare. The Knowledge Program is open to both current employees and external candidates and provides tuition funds in the form of loan forgiveness to individuals who have been accepted into a traditional Associate ASN, traditional Bachelor BSN, Accelerated BSN, or BSN-Masters nursing program. Upon graduation students will be asked to join Baptist Health Louisville and begin their nursing career.

Program Requirements

The Nursing Knowledge Program requires individuals to:

  • Be accepted and/or actively enrolled in a Nursing program.
  • Hold a GPA of 2.5 or greater demonstrated by transcript
  • Provide two letters of reference from school instructors or employers
  • Provide a one page document outlining how your funds will be used, why you want to pursue a career at Baptist, and your post-graduate career plans, etc..

Program Commitments

Candidates who are selected into the Knowledge Program will be asked to sign a contract and promissory notes prior to disbursement of Knowledge dollars.

Participants in the program must agree and be eligible to work for Baptist Health Louisville upon graduation from their program.

Knowledge Program participants are taxed according to IRS guidelines regarding Loan Forgiveness. Once the participant begins work as a professional the loan monies are taxed through installments in the payroll process.
