Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description
The University of Missouri's Baseball Program is seeking a Director of Analytic Strategies to lead the integration of data-driven insights and optimize performance. This individual will be expected to control the data systems and software analysis put in place for the program. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Director of Analytic Strategies will be responsible for: Managing data collection, conducting advanced analysis, and collaborating with coaches and staff to inform team strategy, player development, and scouting. Overseeing data collection and analysis of player performance, team strategy, and opponents. Utilizing advanced statistical models to assess metrics like pitch selection, defensive alignments, and player stats. Working with coaching staff to incorporate data insights into game strategy, player lineups, and in-game decisions. Using analytics to support individual player growth and evaluate recruits by assessing talent and potential. Serving as the main point of contact for data-related inquiries and collaborate with coaches, sports medicine, and other departments. Staying updated on trends in sports analytics and continuously improve tools and methodologies used by the program. Utilizing proficient skills in data tools such as R, Python, Tableau and baseball analytic tools such as Rapsodo, TrackMan, or Kina Trax. Shift
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with data analysis in a NCAA Division I baseball program. Anticipated Hiring Range
