Bank Card Representative

As a Bank Card Representative at United Bankers' Bank, you will work with a dynamic team to assist customers by applying your industry experience, attention to detail, and effective problem resolution. Your skills will be instrumental in preparing credit card underwriting files, fulfilling customer inquiries, providing department accounting responsibilities, and ensuring the UBB bank card team provides the high level of customer support and care our customers expect from United Bankers' Bank.

This position allows for the opportunity to work remotely on a hybrid schedule if desired.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Provides problem resolution and answers questions regarding Bank Card Services products.
  • Answers customer's questions via phone or email.
  • Prepares credit card underwriting files and runs credit bureau reports for new cardholder accounts.
  • Prepares set up and printing of business card applications. Ensures that rates are current and accurate.
  • Provides back-up for verifying invoices and ACH debits and credits from FIS for cardholder activity.
  • Performs Accounting duties for the Bank Card Services Dept.
  • Provides administration for closed card accounts.
  • Maintains stock of prepaid cards and loads cards with funds.
  • Checks for daily eReports required for auditing and operational purposes.
  • Assists in assembling training materials, agreements and marketing materials.
  • Arranges for imaging and filing of signed agreements, card applications, and other customer documentation.
  • Reviews and prepares Fraud Packages from FIS for insurance claims/write-offs.
  • Assists customers with marketing efforts directed at building their Bank Card Services products.
  • Assists in preparing program contracts for prospective customers.
  • Coordinates card reissuance related to new industry guidelines or special projects.
  • Arranges for imaging and filing of signed agreements, card applications, and other unit customer documentation.
  • Writes or updates procedures for Bank Card Services Dept.
  • Provides backup for other Bank Card Services staff.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Associate's degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant work experience considered
  • 1+ years working in the credit card or banking industry preferred
  • Proven customer service skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Must be accurate, dependable, organized, possess a strong business acumen and have excellent communication skills

Pay Range


  • $23.82 - $28.78 hourly; depending on education, qualifications, experience
  • Annual bonus target: 5% of annual pay dependent on company and personal performance
