Summary:
The Head of Pricing Centre of Excellence (CoE) will lead the Centre of Excellence to develop our pricing strategy, working with the divisional leads to improve our profit and sales performance. The role will focus on our businesses (divisions) across the North America region. Through responsibility for strategy and performance across people, tooling and data. This role involves directly working with the division (business) leads in agreeing goals, the vision and solid execution, collaboratively, of the desired pricing strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction for the Pricing CoE and ensure alignment with the company's overall business objectives. This involves defining the vision, setting goals, and developing a roadmap for achieving them
  • Performance Management: Monitor the performance of pricing strategies and develop measures to improve effectiveness in support of division leads' objectives. This includes developing performance metrics, conducting regular reviews, and providing feedback to the division leads
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other senior leaders, including the division leads, head of commercial excellence, and heads of other CoEs, to ensure a cohesive approach to pricing and commercial excellence. This involves regular communication and coordination with various stakeholders to align on strategic initiatives
  • Capability Building: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales and pricing team in coordination with learning & development department. This includes identifying skill gaps, designing training modules, and ensuring that teams are well-prepared to meet their pricing targets
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Drive innovation in pricing processes and methodologies by staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. This involves continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the Pricing CoE remains at the forefront of pricing excellence


Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
  • Experience: Extensive experience in pricing leadership roles, preferably within a distribution or similar industry. Proven track record of driving pricing effectiveness and managing high-performing pricing teams
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the pricing team. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., division leads) and influence decision-making
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and pricing performance data to inform strategic decisions
  • Key Competencies:
    • Strategic and critical thinking.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions.
    • Results-driven mindset with a focus on profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in B2B distribution or wholesale industries.
    • Familiarity with marketing campaign development and its impact on pricing strategies.
