Functions as a Medical Student Summer Research Assistant in biomedical discovery and scholarly inquiry, conducting research at The Ohio State University or Nationwide Childrens Hospital under the mentorship of appointed faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. This 8-12 week position (June August), averaging 38 hours a week, offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in otolaryngology while supporting research initiatives. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis and literature review, and participating in regular team meetings and discussions to present findings and progress. The research assistant will also contribute to research-related tasks and ensure timely completion of project milestones. Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/Desired Enrolled in a MD, DO or MD-PhD medical school program as a first-or second-year student with a strong interest in field of otolaryngology head and neck surgery Availability to participate in-person, averaging 38 hours per week, for 8 12 weeks, starting in June and concluding in late August. Be committed to conduct the relevant research project at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical center or Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills Tentative Start and End Date Start date: no earlier than June 1 End date: no later than August 29 |
