Job Description

The Armed Security Operations Specialist is primarily responsible for the safety and welfare of client employees and property and fulfills other corporate security initiatives as directed by the client. The Security Operations Specialist position requires individuals who can operate in a dynamic environment and possess the physical, operational, and tactical capabilities to address wide-ranging corporate security related tasks. This position is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Will work some overtime, holidays and weekends as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Conduct roving patrols at client locations when/where needed.
  • Teach office-based active threat response (Run, Hide, Fight or similar) and other safety and security related topics to client employees.
  • Work event security where/when needed (situational internal and public facing events)
  • Assist with high-risk employee terminations when requested by client.
  • Assist with executive protection when requested by the client.
  • Produce high-level reports, presentations, and documentation at the request of the client.
  • Communicating (written and verbal) in a clear and concise manner using assigned equipment (i.e., radio, cellular phone, computer, etc.) with all stakeholders.
  • Gathering and assessing information (sometimes under duress) while exercising sound judgement, logic and reasoning in the decision-making process, and escalating issues appropriately to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment that changes from day to day.
  • Multi-tasking, prioritizing, and completing tasks in an organized, efficient and effective manner.
  • Providing deliverables to stakeholders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Performing routine administrative functions as per standard operating procedures.
  • Interacting with all levels of corporate management, internally and externally with a multitude of other departments and personnel.
  • Possessing the ability to brief, defend, persuade, and instruct others on security requirements and policies.
  • Providing covert and overt protection to the designated clients, properties, and personnel depending on the situation and requirements of the client.
  • Safeguarding the work site, personnel and maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Conducting all facets of protective duties.
  • Creating, implementing, and updating security post orders and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conducting ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Working directly as a liaison with local law enforcement to ensure business continuity when required.
  • Safeguarding individuals and property from all forms of security and safety hazards.
  • Operating company and/or client vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
  • Transporting the principal(s) in designated vehicles in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Traveling (domestically and internationally) in support of protective operations.
  • Conducting security advances and security operations plans for dissemination to stakeholders.
  • Responding to alarms/fire/panic calls immediately, and promptly securing the safety and security of human life and physical property.
  • Communicating with first responders and stakeholders to coordinate and provide support in the event of an emergency.
  • Providing appropriate medical treatment as necessary.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and preparing written documentation regarding non-routine incidents with reports, pictures, and witness statements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The Security Operations Specialist must have:

  • Relevant security and/or close protection experience to include government, law enforcement, military and/or private security.
  • A strong base of knowledge in all facets of protective operations.
  • Drive, resiliency, adaptability, humility, integrity, effective intelligence, team-ability, curiosity and emotional strength.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and emotional intelligence skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • The ability to pass background screening requirements
  • Valid Texas Level 4 Personal Protection Officer license
  • Current CPR / AED certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) Adult & Infant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior leadership / management experience
  • Foreign language ability
  • Law Enforcement: Task Force, SWAT, SRT
  • Military Special Operations
  • High Threat Security Operations
  • Relevant instructor credentials

Compensation and Benefits:

$42 per hour
