Patient Access Rep 2 Outpatient (Patient Registration) We will consider candidates at either the PAR1 or PAR2 levels for this position. Requirements for each level noted below. Position Summary The Patient Access Representative (PAR) provides customer-service coverage in centralized registration areas such as front office, outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department locations of Asante and assumes the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. In this role, the Patient Access Rep is also responsible for thoroughly and accurately describing the various compliance and regulatory documents that Asante is required to present to patients - while always maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Asante's financial solvency.Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, the Patient Access Rep performs imperative duties, including but not limited to:Appointment schedulingRegistration and insurance verificationTelephone coverage and data entryFiling protected health information (PHI)Patient referrals and point-of-service collections Qualifications PAR2Minimum 1 year of experience with 2080 fulfilled hours in Patient Access Rep level 1 role or equivalent.PAR1Previous patient registration experience - OR - related customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience, is requiredEducationAssociate's degree in business, healthcare, or related field is preferredLicensure/CertificationsCertified Healthcare Access Associate through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management, preferred What We Offer for Full and Part-time Positions Competitive starting wageComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and wellnessExcellent retirement package with up to 6% employer contributionGenerous Earned Time OffTuition reimbursement after one year of serviceAbout Asante and Southern OregonAsante is a local, community owned and governed, not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care services to more than 550,000 people in a nine-county area of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
